Roast dinner in Gwithian

The Red River In, Gwithian

Right around the corner in the village is The Red River Inn, a proper cosy coastal pub with a reputation for decent food and great beer. Their Sunday roasts are excellent, with a selection of options and some of the finest Yorkies you ever did see/eat. They serve from noon and it's always worth booking ahead if you can. You won't be disappointed. Walk along the beach and back through the towans to work up a thirst/hunger and settle down into a warming pub. As Sundays go, this is a pretty perfect addition.

Roast dinners near Penzance

Tremenheere Kitchen, near Penzance

Tucked away, just off the A30 close to Gulval and Penzance is Tremenheere Scuplture Garden, a great afternoon out for a little culture and sneaky glimpses of St Michael's Mount. It is also home to Tremenheere Kitchen, one of favourite places for good food, good wine and great vibes. On a Sunday they dish up some truly delicious roast dinners, with beautifully prepared meat, veg, nut roasts and more. You can happily take in the relaxed atmosphere and wash down a roast with great wine or beer. It takes about 15 minutes to drive here and we'd certainly recommend an explore of Mounts Bay, Marazion, St Michaels Mount and Penzance.

Roast dinner in St Agnes, Cornwall

The Peterville Inn, St Agnes

One of our favourite pubs, in one of our favourite Cornish coastal villages. The Peterville Inn is in the heart of St Agnes, a place well worth a visit for a stroll on the coast path and to marvel at Trevaunance Cove. A pub well known for great food and drink, the Sunday roast is one not to be missed. Garlic and Rosemary roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshires, a top selection of meat and other additional extras like cauliflower cheese. Yep, it's a solid pitch and one that gets us hungry just thinking about it. Get it booked in and take a trek to Aggy.

Roast dinner near St Ives

The Gurnards Head

The Gurnards Head has built a solid reputation for serving up amazing food, from great local seafood to more traditional style Sunday Roasts. Their roast lunches are truly amazing, with options to potentially enjoy Sri Lankan style fish, or stick with more traditional meat and veg options. You can go for 2 or 3 course lunches, with plenty to choose from for fish lovers or vegetarian, alongside great meats, veg, spuds and more. It's about a twenty minute drive to this foodie heaven. Located on the rugged coast West of St Ives, we'd always elect for a stomp on the local trails to work up an appetite, then use your Sunday lunch to refuel and warm up.
