We’re tucked away in the wilds of Gwithian Towans. But we’re not far away from some wonderful festive events happening in nearby Angarrack, Mousehole and other parts of West Cornwall this Christmas and New Year.
The nearby village of Angarrack is renowned for hosting one of the finest Christmas light displays in Cornwall.
And while in this pretty little village, we also recommend a visit to the lovely Angarrack Inn.
The local community in Mousehole has been hosting their own Christmas lights display since 1963. This picturesque little fishing village is lit up from mid-December including floating lights in the harbour. It’s well worth a visit.
Staying in Mousehole, a magical puppet show of the famous children’s book, the Mousehole Cat, is performed annually alongside the Christmas lights display.
23rd December
A Christmas Carol – A solo performance of the classic Christmas tale.
23 & 24 December – The Nine Lessons and Carol service is held around the world. It started in Truro Cathedral back in the 1880s and still happens to this day.
Cornwall’s number one attraction is awash with colourful lighting from 5 – 8pm on most evenings in December. To add to the festivities, the sparkling ice skating rink is open throughout Christmas and New Year.
